turkey leading the way Turkey Day Run planned in Newark

Newark will hold its 24th Turkey Day Run, five-mile road race on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23 at 10 a.m.

Meet in Central Park; sweatshirts are given to the first 130 entries.

Registration and limited dressing facilities will be provided at the Newark Community Center beginning at 8:30. The race starts in Central Park, in front of the Elks Club.

Awards: Turkeys to overall male, female and masters winners. Medals to the winners of each age group, medals to 10% of each group. (No double awards).

There will be turkey door prizes, back-of-the-pack awards, and after-race refreshments. All awards will be handed out by 11:30.

The entry fee is $15 - make checks payable to Newark Track Boosters. Return registration to Joe Contario, 909 Peirson Ave., Newark, NY 14513.
