AIDS service will be held in Lyons

The observance of World AIDS Day will be commemorated on Friday, December 1. On this day each year, the world is called to unite in memory of those whose lives have been claimed by HIV/AIDS, and to support those who have been infected or affected by this disease.

The Wayne County Task Force on AIDS will be holding its fourth annual Candlelight Service on December 1 at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Lyons. During the service there will be a time for the reading of names and a moment of silence to remember those who have lost their battle to AIDS.

Anyone wishing to have a loved one's name read is asked to call Task Force members, Lisa Roth at Wayne County Public Health 1.800.724.1170 or Jill Gonzalez of AIDS Rochester at 315.781.6303 Ext. 3006 (you need only provide first name if you choose, full names are not necessary). Please call by November 24.
