Hit & run property damage in Newark

This afternoon, police were alerted that a tan-colored truck hit this Newark utility pole and then left the scene.

At 3:30 p.m, village DPW workers were at the damaged pole, on West Miller Street, across from the Peirson Ave. intersection. NYSEG workers were also at the scene.

Some area residents may lose electrical service while repairs are being made.
