County Dealers plan fall antiques show The Wayne County Antique Dealers' Association's Harvest Show and Sale will be held next weekend - October 28 and 29 at Williamson High School. The sale, co-sponsored by the Williamson High School Class of 2002, will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday. Fifty quality dealers will be exhibiting. There will also be a display by the Wayne County Historical Society. Featured again this year will be glass restoration by Herbert Kopp - Saturday only, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mr. Kopp is an expert in restoring chipped or damaged glassware, drilling holes for lamps, and beveling. The public is invited to bring in damaged pieces for reasonable repair. Well-known antique appraiser Edward Cornwell will also be on hand Sunday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. to provide verbal appraisals for the fee of $4 per item. Customers are asked to limit their items for appraisal to four per person. Among the wide variety of antiques and collectibles to be offered are: furniture, primitives, clocks, lamps, glass, bottles, china, porcelains, pottery, country accessories, toys, dolls, tools, wooden, tin and granite wares, kitchenware, jewelry, textiles, quilts, vintage clothing and accessories, advertizing items, paper ephemera, and books. Refreshments will be available, prepared by the Senior Class, with proceeds to finance class activities.
