Missing Sodus
By Melissa White

Sarahmgoodcooke@aol.com

We've finally stopped traveling. It was fun, but it's nice to stay home once in a while, too.

One week, we followed my husband to Utica for the Lumberman's Show. The other week, we tailed along to Albany. Sarah didn't do as well on her vacation, though. In between visits, she caught the flu and when we finally came home to roost, she became just exhausted. (I didn't know dogs did these things, but a visit to the emergency vet let us know otherwise.)

The kids are finally ready for school, I think. Do some of the moms still go out to breakfast the first day of school like we used to?

Lumberjack show The Sodus Town Chamber of Commerce is meeting Thursday, Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. at Nick's Family Restaurant. The public is invited. Just call 483.9223 or 483.4067 and let them know you'd like to come.

This Sunday is the craft market at Sodus Point Lighthouse. And don't miss the Vic Plati Orchestra at 3 p.m.

We have some names of the winners of the Sodus Summer Reading Club.

Kerri Gee, Melissa Wahl, Kayleah Gee, Olivia Thurston, Tammy Jenkins, Ben Johnson, Sarah Latulipe, Talia Spinelli, Logan Graham, Nicholas Spinelli, Caitlin Gallacher and Stephanie Riekstins.

Happy Birthday to Lelah Rought , Alicia Keegan and Patty Clark.

If you have a special date or birthday you'd like added to the column, write to me and Ill make sure it gets in

Enjoy your week.

(Guess where were traveling through this week? Well, Sodus, of course! And I'll have my camera!)
