baby cartoon Mom support group to meet

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) of Pultneyville/Williamson, a support group for all mothers with children under school age, infant through Kindergarten, will begin meeting again September 12, at the Pultneyville United Methodist Church, 7770 Hamilton St., at 9:30 a.m. If you know your child will need time to settle, please come by 9:15 a.m.

MOPS offers a haven for frazzled nerves; an encouraging, accepting atmosphere where a mom finds out she's not alone. The morning includes group meetings led by MOPS women, with instruction relating to womanhood, marriage, child rearing, and home. Small groups provide for honest sharing and deepening friendships. A craft activity time promotes a sense of accomplishment through creative expression.

MOPPETS is the children's counterpart to MOPS which is provided during each meeting. The MOPPETS morning includes hearing a story, singing, making a craft, eating a snack and playing with toys (and peers).

MOPS meets the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, Sept. through May. Visitors are welcome. Call Heidi at 589.4093.
