african artwork African/Caribbean party at Forman Park

The local Caribbean and African-American community, together and the Multicultural Arts Project, Inc., invites EVERYONE to an afternoon of eating, dancing, and celebration on September 10, at B. Forman Park in Pultneyville.

African/Caribbean Afternoon will be held with the Rural Opportunities Farmworkers picnic.

Activities will begin at noon with a wide assortment of cultural foods and family activities for all to enjoy.

Deejay Corey Comer will spin a variety of Caribbean music from Reggae to Calypso to Soca. There will be a dance contest for prizes. Booths from local agencies that service Farmworkers will be available for information. There is no admission charged.

African/Caribbean Afternoon, is the third event of the Wayne County Multicultural Art Series 2000 and will be followed by the Mexican Fiesta, on September 17 at the Sodus Primary School at 3 p.m. The series is made possible in part with funds from the New York State Council on the Arts.
