Missing Sodus
By Melissa White

Caesar the dogmgoodcooke@aol.com

Well, school has finally begun and the house should be much quieter, but with Sarah and Caesar around, it's quite the opposite! Sarah has also decided that the weather in the morning is a bit too chilly for her to go out (... wait until winter). The kids seemed happy to go back to school but, as of yet, they haven't had any homework.

Al Dobbin did see a Leprechaun the other day - one went up on his porch and knocked on the door. (Sorry... I didn't have any cookies.) The Spano family are doing well. Tina and the kids were heading back to school. When we lived in Sodus, the little one, CC, was a baby. Amazing how much they grow in three years. We couldn't believe it was her. (Good thing adults don't change that much in a three-year period.)

It was nice to visit Sodus and the friends we left behind. Al was on his way out (as usual. Does that man ever Al Dobbin relax?) But he did take the time to visit with us for a bit, which was nice. The Park in Sodus looks really nice, a lot of work has been done. It'll be really pretty at Christmastime when Santa comes for his visit.

Remember Burnap's has Fall Hours beginning September 5. They will be open Thursday - Monday from 9 to 6; Closed on Tuesday and Wednesdays. Have you seen their Garden of Adventure? They have a sunflower house, bean pole tee pee and a corn maze - and its fun at a great price...Free! (While Mom and Dad are checking out the fresh baked goods and produce the kids can have fun exploring.)

The Williamson Library is going to be busy next week. The Cyber Train is coming through. The professionals at the library will teach you about the Internet and how to use it. Before you know it, you can be sending out mail and looking up important information on your computer. The information is endless! Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. is Browser basics, Thursday has E-mail essentials and search engines. Registration is required.

Did you know September is Library Card Sign Up month? If you don't have a card, hurry and sign up for one. A library card is a necessity for great reading adventures and knowledge.

The Wallington Bog & Grog will be this Sunday, September l0, from noon to 5 p.m.
