Marion Mile results

On August 26 during Marion's Festival in the Park, the 5th annual Marion Mile Road Race was held. A total of 44 runners participated, ranging in age from four-year-old Alyson Holahan to miler Cathy Peelen, age 62.

Although numbers were down from the previous year, $84 dollars was raised for the Marion Food Pantry, and boxes of canned goods were donated. The overall winner of the race, with a new record, was Matt Robbins from Palmyra. His time was 5:17.
