Scarecrow contest at the Apple Shed

The Apple Shed is planning a Scarecrow Convention and Contest. The event will take place September 30 through October 29 at The Apple Shed, on Maple Ridge Road, Arcadia.

People of all ages are invited to attend, or participate by creating the most durable and original scarecrow.

Categories include children age 12 and under, adults or families, schools, community organizations or clubs. Cash prizes will be awarded in each category, with one grand prize winner.

There is no fee to enter.

Entries must be turned in no later than noon on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the contest site.
