St. Michael School held a Poker Run, offically sponsored by BeeTee's in Newark.

The run involved 50 bikers, who came from various areas of Wayne County. The biker who came from the farthest distance was Rick Sapp of Syracuse, whose nieces and nephews attend St. Michael School.

The event chairpersons were Cecile and Chick Ruffalo.

The 80-mile run began and ended at BeeTee's with BeeTee's donating a free ice cream cone to all participants. The grand winner was Rick Sapp who donated his winnings back to the school.

Other poker run sponsors were Stone's Snow Sled, Harv's Harley Davidson, Geneva Harley, Dunkin' Donuts, Newark Electric and Wayne County Motorcycle Club.
