Medical careers explored by local seniors
Students are:
The program is designed for high school seniors interested in the health care field. The students spend a portion of each school day during the year-long program rotating through different departments and working directly with health care professionals to see first-hand the many career opportunities available in the field. Upon successful completion of the program, students receive four credits, one each for English, Economics, Government and Health Sciences. The BOCES New Visions Medical Careers program has been active in Wayne County for six years and 83 local students have completed the program. High school juniors interested in considering the program for their senior year should talk with their guidance counselors. Copyright
