The historic Normandy Inn on Old Ridge Road, was the site of the Sodus Town Chamber of Commerce annual dinner and award banquet. Tuesday night's event saw the Chamber honor their Citizen of the Year, Town Supervisor Donna Chittenden;
With 86 in attendance, Sodus Mayor John Cook was master of ceremonies, assisted by Jim Hopkins, President of the Sodus Chamber.
Chittenden, in her role as President of the Sodus Rotary Club, presented the Rotary's Annual Agri-Business award to Ron Baker for his hard work in running a successful family fruit farm. Baker was in attendance with his wife, Carol. Copyright

Sodus Chamber holds annual dinner
Chittenden was honored with the 34th presentation of Citizen of the Year, and received commendations from NY State Assemblyman Robert Oaks and Marvin Decker, Chairman of the Wayne County Board of Supervisors. Chittenden has been Supervisor of the Town of Sodus since 1990, is involved in Sodus Youth Venture and is a Director of The Sodus Bay Historical Society. Last year, she was honored by the New York State Senate as a Woman of Distinction.
