Happenings REMEMBER - the Roast Beef Supper at the Marion American Legion Post Home this evening. The Easter Lily - Ornamental lilies have been cultivated for about three thousand years and is one of the largest families of flowering plants. The white lily has long been associated with Easter, partly because its color traditionally symbolizes purity and joy, its petals flare out like the bell of a trumpet, suggesting the angel Gabriel's awakening horn. Because it is a bulb it is 'buried' and 'reborn' thus making it a perfect correlate to the death and rebirth of the Savior. Gertrude Collier has returned home after a hospital stay.
