Happy Birthday to Nellie DeWispelaere on April 24.

Congratulations! to Erin VanStaalduinen who graduated from the Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology in Dayton, on April 6. Erin received a degree in Commercial Photography. She is the daughter of John and Fran Van Staalduinen of Parker Road, Marion.

April 8, 1937: The new fire truck which was purchased some time ago was delivered Friday from Elmira. It has pumping capacity of 500 gallons per minute, is of 110 horse-power, has a six cylinder motor, and is equipped with a 200 gallon booster tank. The fire commissioners are Fred Lookup, Chairman: Malcolm Bremner, secretary: James Boekhout, Frank Jeffery and Herbert Snyder.

Folks of all ages came to the party at the Marion museum on April 14. Conversation flowed and cake was consumed at Marion's Birthday party. Two cakes were served and, by all comments, enjoyed!

'Work should not be the defining trait of a person's existence.'
