This week, it was difficult to know if spring had sprung or not, wasn't it? One minute you were enjoying the blooming of the crocus and daffodils then you were looking in disbelief as snow flurries filled the air.

Ralph Everdyke and his wife Betty will be coming back North sometime next week. They are not used to this chilly weather, so hopefully, those 60 degree temps will be here and stay. (Although Ralph and Betty will probably think that's chilly, too.) I suggested they go out and enjoy the balmy Florida weather, and they took my advice and drove down to Ruskin. They went back home via the Sunshine Bridge and rode up along the Coast. What a beautiful and enjoyable ride that must have been! (Quick, we have to get rid of all the snow before they get back to Wayne County!)

Lorrie Zone, her boys Cody and Scott, and her sister, Ruthie Downey, just came back from their trip to Washington. (Did you get to see the cherry trees in bloom?) The Castles just arrived back from their trip to the Sunshine state. (Did you see the Hooper family?)

Happy Birthday wishes to Becky Clark on April 21 and to Rachel White on April 22.

Diane Phillips and her husband will be leaving soon for their trip to Europe. (Diane, bring back some of the French chocolate. Have a great time, and before you go, don't forget to brush up on your parlez vous francaise.)

shore line pictures The Kraft Shack will be having their Kids Mother's Day Class on Tuesday, May 1 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and another on Saturday, May l5 from 11 a.m. to noon. The kids can make a present for Mom for Mother's Day. $l0 includes all. Registration is required.

The Sodus Primary School will have a Girl Scout Meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 23. Tuesday there will be a Boy Scout meeting at 6:30 p.m. and a Cub Scout meeting on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The Kindergarten field trip will take place on Wednesday, April 25. And don't forget: Take Your Daughters To Work Day is Thursday, April 26.

There's an all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast at the Williamson American Legion on Sunday (April 22). Stop by between 8 a.m. and noon.

basket of flowers The Wallington Fire Department will have their Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 29 from 8-11 a.m. All you can eat ($5 adults; $4 Seniors; and $3 children).
