Showcase at Pultneyville's Gates Hall

Pultneyville Historical Society is pleased to host the Williamson Young Yorkers End of Year Showcase for Parents and Community in historic Gates Hall on May 2 at 7 p.m.

Planned activities include a 1940s fashion show, swing dancing, demonstration of airplane development by Jim Stohr (parent of a student), and a sing along.

Following the Young Yorkers performance, there will be a short business meeting and refreshments will be served. Pultneyville Historical Society meetings are open to the public.

Young Yorkers is a year-long after school program sponsored by the New York State Historical Association to support the learning of state history by middle school students.

The Williamson Middle School program is advised by PHS member and Williamson Middle School teacher Irene Bierer, who is aided by five junior assistants. The program boasts membership by 40 fifth- and sixth-grade students.
