Newark IGA readies to close

This week is probably the last for Newark IGA, located on West Miller St.

Purchases this week began at a 20 percent discount. Customers arrived at 7 a.m. Monday, and shopping carts were quickly filled.

Today's sign in the store window announces prices marked down 30 percent.

A SAVE-A-LOT store will replace IGA, in about two months.

The Breen's stores in Palmyra and Williamson remain open.
