La Leche League to hold Yard Sale

La Leche League of Wayne County & the Finger Lakes will sponsor a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 5 at 245 Field Street, Port Gibson. (There will be special bargains from 4 to 6 to help 'clear the yard.')

The sale will offer a variety of appliances, clothes, toys, furniture, household items, sporting goods and many more great bargains. There will also be a Bake Sale and Plant Sale. Many new breast pumps, parenting books, baby slings and breastfeeding aides will be on display and for sale at regular prices also.

Proceeds will be used to fund continuing education for the accredited Group Leaders at the La Leche League's 17th International Conference in Chicago in July 2001.

Donations are tax deductible and will be accepted until May 4. To arrange for donations call 331.0873 or 597.5426.

La Leche League is a non-profit non-sectarian organization founded for the purpose of giving help and encouragement, primarily through personal instruction, to those mothers who want to breastfeed their babies.
