SAVE-A-LOT opens today

The new SAVE-A-LOT store is set to open today in Newark, where the IGA operated for many years.

Mike Breen, owner/operator of Newark Breen's, will manage this store. He said there will be 1400 products to choose from, instead of up to 20,000, as offered in traditional grocery stores. Bring your own bags, or you may buy bags there. Also, shoppers will put their purchases into their bags - store employees don't bag groceries.

The hours are 8 until 8, seven days a week.
