Red Cross/Kiwanis blood drive in Newark

Red Cross youth volunteers and Kiwanis Club members worked most of Saturday, August 11 at a blood drive in Newark. Director Nadine Brill said 30 pints of blood were collected, at the Alex Eligh Community Center. The 18 youth volunteers (some were blood donors) represented Wayne, Ontario, Seneca and Yates Counties. Ten members of Newark Kiwanis also helped bake cookies, run errands, decorate and set up tables, and sign in the donors.
