North Rose man wins goat milking event

Ora Rothfuss, Wayne County Agricultural Specialist, won the annual Celebrity Goat Milking Contest at the County Fair. The North Rose resident has entered the competition for three years. His prize of $100 will be donated in his name to the Diabetes Association.

2001 Fair Queen Jessica Bryant of Marbletown won second place and $50. Her prize will be donated to the Second Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation, located between Marion and Newark.

Twenty-two celebrities from around the county took part in the August 16 contest.
