Mil Leenhouts, along with other relatives from the area, attended the engagement party of her grandson, Ben Bornstein to Lesley Popkin, at Tappan.

Jody, Paul and David Bender entertained Jody's sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Tim Barnes from Spring Lake, North Carolina last week. They enjoyed trips to the Wayne County Fair, shopping and relaxing.

'Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.'

John Van Staalduinen of Parker Road, a hobby gardener, entered a bright, burgundy Bougainvillea plant in the Wayne County Fair. He was awarded a First place Ribbon and the Best of Show.

Thanks! to all those who stopped by the United Church's Strawberry Shortcake booth at the Car Show on Sunday. Many of us enjoyed the delicious treat, in between the rain showers.

Minnie Roegiers is presently residing at the Newark Manor Nursing Home.

August 23, 1951- Happy-Go-Lucky 4-H members who are modeling at the Palmyra Fair are: Elaine Adriaansen, Nancy and Donna Dean, Barbara Davis, Karol Adriaansen, Brenda Kooman, Eleanor Johnson and Jerene VanHanegem.

Harold and Eleanor Schoonerman spent the weekend at a camp-out reunion with family members. They gathered at the home of their son, Mark and Elaine and family, who hosted the event. Attending were the Steve Schoonermans, the Dan and Lori Schoonermans, from Auburn.
