County agency promotes 'Forever Green' program

The Wayne County Soil & Water Conservation District has order forms available for the 2002 Forever Green Tree & Shrub Program.

The District offers bare root tree and shrub seedlings suitable for reforestation, wildlife habitat, erosion control, watershed protection, wind and snow breaks, and general environmental improvement.

Also available are transplants which are an older and larger alternative to common bare root tree seedlings, and our popular Bluebird nesting boxes.

To obtain an order form, contact the District office at 10 Leach Road in Lyons or call 946.4136 and an order form will be sent to you.

Orders will be taken up to March 25, and anticipated pick-up dates are April 19 & 20 at the District pole barn on Ridge Road in Alton. Order early!
