Christmas Eve at Lyons church

The First Presbyterian Church of Lyons Candlelight Service on Christmas Eve begins at 7 p.m.

All are welcome to attend.

The adult choir, directed by Camille Clark and accompanied by organist Janet Buell, has prepared several beautiful anthems. Janice Bailey of Lyons will share the carol No Lullaby.

Lyons seniors: Mallory Bailey, Greg Proseus, Katie Wolfer, Lindsay Iocco, and Jessica DeCracker will light the candles in the Advent Wreath. Pastor Cynthia will preach on 'The Shepherd's Story!'

In addition to the traditional candle-lighting, the congregation is invited to participate in singing the Hallelujah chorus from Handel's Messiah.

Child care will be provided for infants and toddlers. The church is located on 11 Queen Street at the corner of Broad.

Regular Sunday worship services are at 10 a.m. with church school and child care provided.
