Christmas Eve services at Newark's Park Church

Three special services are being planned at Park Presbyterian Church, 110 Maple Court, Newark, for Christmas Eve.

At 5 p.m., a service for families and children will feature young people offering their talents of music to the Christ Child. Carols will be sung and candles lighted at the conclusion.

At 7 p.m., a service of Lessons and Carols will be offered, alternating readings from scripture with singing Christmas Carols. The women's group, Les Chanteuses, will present special music. Rev. Timothy Johnson will deliver the Christmas message. The service will conclude with candle-lighting.

The 11 p.m. service is the traditional candlelight communion observance. Special music will be provided by the Adult Choir, soloist Sarah Bald, flutist Marsha Johnson, and organist Ann Johnson. The service will conclude with candle-lighting and Silent Night.
