Missing Sodus

Is there any snow in Sodus or the Wayne County area? The big question now is 'will there be a white Christmas?'. (A powder of white would be nice wouldn't it? But not too much.)

If you are having a Holiday party and you're looking for a place to buy some shrimp, do I have the man for you. Al Dobbin of Sergeant St. in Sodus is selling bags of shrimp. Al sells the bags of shrimp for the Chorus of the Genesee. In fact, he had a visit from a man who lives in Palmyra the other night. Al said the peanut brittle is going well and much in demand. (It's always nice to hear from Al.)

Congratulations to Gary and Kelly Gray who have purchased a place in New Port Richey, Florida.

The Sodus Library has a new Senior Computer Program where Senior Citizens can come in for some hands-on computer help. Carol said they have five ladies who come regularly and are learning to do everything from playing games to checking out the latest news and researching their family trees. (Carol, I hope everyone who is checking out the latest news checks out the Courier-Gazette Digital Edition.)

Habitat for Humanity is accepting applications for a home to be built in the village of Sodus on property donated by Kelly Allen. Those wishing to apply can call 986.9915. Habitat selects families based upon the need for decent housing, ability to pay the no-interest mortgage, and a willingness to partner with Habitat.

Can you believe Christmas is so close? You always feel you have so much time and then the big day is here! Surprise!
