Friday morning fire at Pine Hill, Lyons

Outbuildings continue to smoke this afternoon at Pine Hill Orchards, on Route 14 just north of Lyons. Lyons fire trucks responded to alarms at about 6:30 this morning, and were soon joined by at least five other companies. The building which houses the fruit stand and restaurant was not harmed by the blaze. See next Friday's print edition of the Newark Courier-Gazette for more details.
