Boater safety class

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a Boater Safety Class on January 12, from 8 to 4. It will be held at the Sheriff's Office located at 7368 Route 31, Lyons. To register, call 946.5714.

Youths ages 10 to 18 are required to have a Boater Safety Certificate in order to operate a boat. Anyone age 27 and younger must have this certification to operate a personal watercraft (Jet ski). This certification will be issued upon successful completion of the Boater Safety Course recognized by the State of New York.
