Computer classes at Lyons library

The Lyons Public Library will offer several computer classes during January.

A three-week series of classes will be taught on how to create, upload and refine a personal web page using Geocities.

On Friday, January 11 at noon the first class will be 'Creating a Personal Web Page.'

The next class: 'Uploading Your Web Page' will be held on Friday, January 18 at noon.

'Refining Your Web Page' the last class in the series, will be held on Friday, January 25 at noon. People wanting to create a web page should register for all three classes.

A basic computer class will be taught on Thursday, January 24 at 6 p.m. for people interested in learning more about computers and how to use them.

On Saturday, January 26 at 10 a.m., a class will be offered on e-mail. Participants will learn how to set up an e-mail account, learn how to do attachments and create an address book using Hotmail. Prior experience with Internet Explorer is required for this class.

Registration is required for all of the classes and is limited to four people per class. Call the library at 946.9262 to register.
