salute! Touch of Italy at county nursing home

On January 31, Wayne Co. Nursing Home residents of Italian background had a authentic Italian luncheon. This was done by Krista Celso, from Keuka College, who has been doing her field work at the County Nursing Home. She helps Jane Beach in the Activities Dept.

Pictured in random order are Margaret Dapolito, Freda Fratanagelo, Krista Celso, Julia Fabrizi, Mary Cataldi, and Marie Barnaba.

Italian cuisine was ziti with homemade spaghetti sauce, with help from Gina Fasno who provided basil and garlic she had grown. The meal was complete with antipasta salad, garlic bread and Lambrusco wine, spaghetti bibs and placemats of Italy (donated from John's Restaurant from Clyde).

that's italian! Residents enjoyed Italian music and talked about ancestors from the old country and Sunday family pasta dinners.
