High school art show opening

Wayne County Council for the Arts is planning the Visual Arts Show, February 18-March 23. This is the 18th presentation of the High School Art Show. Every school district in Wayne County, plus Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES, will have artwork presented by art students.

The reception, which is free, will be held at the Erie Canal Cultural Center, at 165 Water St., in Lyons, on February 18 from 2-4 p.m. The show this year will be held in both the ECCC and, just down the street at the Arts Council at 2 Broad St., which will provide more room and allow for more student artwork this year.

The High School Art Show is open in both locations from noon-5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays and on Saturdays from noon-4 p.m.
