Blood drives scheduled

Members of the Sodus Rotary are once again working with the Red Cross in Wayne County and have scheduled a Blood drive for Saturday, February 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Blood supplies are low due to severe winter and illness. Surgeries that were postponed during the holiday season have been rescheduled and all eligible are being asked to respond to the blood drive February 24.

It is easy to donate blood. Any person age 17 or older who weights at least 110 pounds and has not donated in the past 56 days may be eligible to donate blood. Plan to give the Gift of Life on February 24. Your donation could help up to 5 individuals. Call the Red Cross office 315.331.3783 for additional information.

Other drives are:

  • Williamson Methodist- Feb. 26 from 2 to 7 p.m.
  • Lyons St. Michael's- Feb. 16 from 2 to 7 p.m.
  • Clyde Fire Dept- Feb. 19 from 2 to 7 p.m.
  • Ontario Vol. Amb.- Feb. 23rd from 2 to 7 p.m.
