Did everyone have a nice Valentines Day? Always nice this time of year to get something special and flowers make it feel so much like spring.

The chilly weather has been tough adjusting to (and my new pet just hates it. Actually, I think Sarah is as large a pet as I need to go at this point.) Carol Garland and her husband are planning to visit Florida this year as well, they will be visiting her parents in Port Charlotte for a few days. Port Charlotte is on the Gulf coast between Tampa and Fort Myers. (Carol, even though we just got back, I will think of you and be envious. Maybe you can figure out how to bring the warm temperatures back with you.)

Mark your calendars - all Wayne County residents are invited to come to the Wayne County Picnic on March 20 in Bradenton, Florida. I will pass along more info as I receive it.

Sodus Go Getters will meet for a noon meal on Thursday, February 22 at the United Third Methodist Church. After a business meeting, and trip info, Bob Paliotti of Lyons will present a program on African animals and natives of Africa. (All seniors 55 and over are welcome.)

exotic bird Looking for a bird for your next pet? Janet Lesschorn sells exotic birds . She has Parrotlets which are birds smaller then a Love Bird. She tells me they are basically a miniature Parrot (with the big Parrot brain). All of Janet's birds are handfed as babies. She has Lovebirds, Quakers(green) Cockatiels, and Parakeets. To find out more, write to Janet at avitiel@computer-connection.net

Call the Williamson Library by noon Tuesday to reserve a space for the noon Sandwiched In program on Wednesday. Laurie Verbridge, Postmaster of the Pultneyville Post Office, will be the guest.

Diane Phillips has opened her cottage (store) doors and is ready for visitors. She calls it Granny Goodstory's Community and Children's Comfy, Cosy Crafting Cottage. For more information about classes, call her at 716.747.4768. Her shop is smack in the middle of Penfield. If you know where the Humphrey House Restaurant in Penfield is, you'll find Granny's Place with no problem. Also available at Granny's place are beautiful home decor items, handcrafted by J & J Woodworking. Granny Goodstory has a fun website to look at mypage.org/grannygoodstory

more birds The website has fun stories for the kids to read, craft ideas to share, a cookie recipe and lots of Disney pictures. (I am a bit biased of course - I write the stories. Let me know what you think. Where would we be without our children's knowledge of the computers?)

Do you have information you'd like to share? Birthdays, specials occasions or just fun things to talk about? Write to me at

mgoodcooke@aol.com

I look forward to hearing from you.
