Volunteers needed at WCHS

The Wayne County Historical Society is looking for people of all ages to join its Volunteer team.

High school and college student volunteers are needed to assist with school groups and perform clerical and receptionist duties throughout the summer, on weekends, and school holidays. Student volunteers are also needed to help the staff welcome visitors and assist on the exhibit floor.

Non-student volunteers are needed to greet visitors, answer the phone, assist with data entry, catalogue artifacts, and conduct museum tours on weekdays, and assist with craft classes on Saturday afternoons.

There are also two seats vacant on the Board of Directors, and the position of Treasurer is vacant at this time. Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m.
