Lenten Midweek Worship in Newark

Redeemer Lutheran Church, located at 102 Hope Ave (off of Edgett St.) in Newark, invites you to its Lenten Midweek Worship series for 2001.

This program begins tomorrow, Ash Wednesday, and will run for the six weeks of Lent.

Each program begins with a Soup Supper at 6 p.m. The supper will be followed at 7 p.m. with worship, which this year centers on the Prophet Jonah and how his being swallowed by a great fish prefigured the death and resurrection of Christ.

The theme: 'Jonah: More Than Just a Fish Story,' begins with 'Jonah Flees From God.'
