Book review luncheon in Newark The Friends of the Newark Public Library will start the new year with a Book Review Luncheon at noon on Friday, January 12 at the library. The guest speaker will be Fr. Peter Clifford, pastor of St. Michael's Church.Fr. Clifford will review Nothing Like It in the World, by Stephen E. Ambrose. This New York Times best seller is the story of the men who built the transcontinental railroad from 1863-69. Reservations for the $3 luncheon may be made by calling the Newark Library at 331.4370.
