This past Wednesday, Tom Wahl's opened in the former Ponderosa Steak House, across from the entrance to the Newark Plaza. (Location is 585 W. Union St.)
It is a 1950's-style eatery featuring ground steak sandwiches, homemade root beer, and an ice cream stand.
