Lyons Heritage Society meets

The 11th annual meeting of the Lyons Heritage Society will be held January 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hotchkiss Essential Oil Building on Water Street in Lyons. The evening's program will begin with a potluck supper. Members are asked to bring their table service and a dish to pass. Beverages will be provided.

A business meeting will include the election of officers for the coming year. Members will need to elect a president, a vice-president, a secretary and one trustee. Dues will be collected.

The program will feature Annette Harris who will discuss the four World War II Prisoner of War Camps that were located in Wayne County. Harris is the author of a local history book, Small Beginnings - The Story of Newark, New York. She is currently writing a book on the POW camps and is also working on a biography of General Anthony Wayne.
