Harp concerts set in Palmyra and Lyons

The Troubadour Harper (Thom Dutton) has planned Celtic music concerts in Wayne County. Dutton was raised in Palmyra, graduated from Pal-Mac High School, was involved in local theatre and singing groups, and now lives in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He performs in the United States, as well as abroad.

The Jan. 28 concert starts at 2 p.m. and will take place at Zion Episcopal Church in Palmyra.

The Feb. 4 concert is at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Lyons.

His performances will include traditional Irish, Scottish, and Welsh music, along with stories and poetry. Refreshments will follow the concerts, and Dutton's recordings will be available for purchase. A freewill offering will be taken, to offset expenses.

Concerts are made possible in part by public funds from the State Council on the Arts' Decentralization Program, administered by the Wayne County Council for the Arts.
