Missing Sodus

park sceneWasn't it a great week of nice weather? Did many take the Korean Martial Arts Class at the Williamson Library Wednesday? If someone you know took it, let me know what you thought. It sounded like fun. Jim Bush will be doing his magic at the library today. Don't forget Crafts for Kids on Monday, July l6 from l0 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Don't forget to sign up for the Sodus Summer Reading Program, it begins on Monday.

Chaz Foxton who lived in Sodus from l967-l974 will be coming back to the area with his daughter, Andrea, for a six-week visit. The two reside in France. Andrea is anxiously awaiting her trip to visit her American aunts, uncles and cousins. Chaz's sister is Shirley Korensky of Ontario and his brother Rick lives in Buffalo. They'll be sure to visit his sister-in-law, Shellie Foxton, of Lakewood. Have a great time on your vacation to the Wayne County area.

clematis Happy July birthday to Nick Malone who will be celebrating on the 21st.

The Williamson Alumni picnic is tomorrow. The Annual Picnic starts at B. Forman Park at 2 p.m. The Class of '51 will hold a special 50th Anniversary Dinner at the Garlock House in the evening.

Or you can head east to Wolcott, where the Historical Society will hold it's 2nd Annual Antique & Craft Show.

In Sodus Sunday, they will mark Pauline Israel Day at the Wallington Cobblestone Schoolhouse. It was Pauline who began what is now a tradition - 'A Day in a Country School.' Sodus Town Historian will present a Civil War program at the schoolhouse at 2 p.m. All are invited. The one-room school is located on North Geneva Road.

angel statue Would you be interested in volunteering at the Sodus Point Lighthouse? Volunteers are needed in many different areas. For more information, call 483.2222.

Don't forget the concert at the Lighthouse this Sunday. The Clyde Saxton Band performs at 3 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket.
