Missing Sodus
By Melissa White

Another great week of summer. Things have certainly been busy, haven't they?

Today is the last day to register your kids for 'Fun In The Sun' Day at Sodus Point Beach Park. Kids, age 5 to 14, will go by bus to the park on Tuesday, July 31. Call your local community center today.

Saturday, head to Pultneyville for the annual Homecoming celebration. A really great time for antique hunters. If you don't have your tickets yet for HMS Pinafore at Gates Hall, call the box office at 589.3326. There are performances tonight and tomorrow night at 8 p.m., then one on Sunday at 4:30. Don't forget the chicken barbecue dinners at the Pultneyville Masonic Lodge - right next to the fire hall. You can eat in or carry from 4 p.m. until ?

racoon Do you and the kids like Exotic Animals? On Tuesday, July 24 at 2 p.m., Marianne Smith will be introducing the latest addition to her collection to the Williamson Library. I'm told there is a creature called a Binturong that smells like Fritos. (?) Perhaps you'll visit a hedgehog, or bearded dragon... who knows?

Movie Madness on the Big Screen will be at the Williamson Library on Thursday, July 26. There will be two short films, one is from 11 to noon, and the other at l p.m. For all Mateys grades 5 and up, there will be a full length feature. Robin says to bring along your pillows and they will provide the munchies.

Friday, July 27, there will be another Sunset Concert with Ballroom Dance instruction at the Sodus Point Lighthouse from 7 - 9 p.m. Sounds like the previous one was a great success.

Sarah the dog We are on the way to another Antique Car Show in Syracuse. And speaking of Car Shows, there is one the end of this month at Sodus (at the Firemen's Carnival grounds). It's Saturday, July 28 from 9 to 4. (Thank you to pbunyon for reminding me.)

Don't forget the concert and Ice Cream Social on Sunday at the Lighthouse.

If you have any events you'd like to see in print, please send your information to me

I'll be happy to add it for you. Keep enjoying the warm, sunny weather.
