Pet First Aid in Newark

The Wayne County Chapter of American Red Cross is offering a Pet First Aid Course on Tuesday, August 7 from 9 a.m. to noon and another on Thursday, August 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Red Cross Office, 165 East Union St., Newark.

Pet First Aid for cats and dogs is a nationally-recognized course, for which participants receive lifetime certification. The three-hour course includes: how to recognize an emergency; Standard First Aid techniques for your pet; and hands-on CPR practice for cats and dogs. The course costs $25 and includes a companion book.
