Coming in August to Lyons Farmers Market

Saturday mornings in August at the Lyons Farmers Market will be busy with family-oriented events.

On August 4, Lyons Police Officer Lisa Cole will put her German Shepherd through the paces of his K-9 training at 9:30 a.m.

The Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperative Extension will return to answer your plant-related concerns.

The Market celebrates its 27th anniversary on August 11, with door prizes of goodies furnished by the vendors. Fill out a market survey to sign up for a door prize. The Lyons United Methodists will be holding their third bake sale.

On August 18, the Master Gardeners return and the Lyons Rotary Club will be serving up their second pancake breakfast.

Lyons Mayor and Chef John Salone will be preparing an Italian Specialty using seasonal vegetables on August 25. Stop by for a sample and fresh cooking ideas. Lyons Methodists will have a bake sale.

The Market opens at 7:30 each Saturday morning through October 27 in the Village Park.
