Today, June 1, Kindergarten to grade 4 Vocal Concert at the Marion Elementary School Auditorium at 1:30 p.m.

June 1 and 2 - Sherburne-Earlville Pageant of Bands

June 4 at 7 p.m. - Marion PTA meeting 7 p.m. - Elementary Faculty Room.

Marion High School Music Department Awards Night is June 6 - Grades 7-12 at 7:30 p.m. in the High School.

June 7: Sports Awards ceremony at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.

June 8 is Cabaret Night at 8 p.m. in the High School Gym.

Charles Rose of Walworth was welcomed at the United Church on May 27 in the absence of Pastor Dan.

CHILDREN'S DAY 2001 at the United Church, is titled, 'Smile, God Loves You!' June 3, Worship service at 11 a.m. with potluck picnic to follow at Forman Park in Pultneyville.

JUNE 5, 1947: Barbara Exton, Marion High School Senior, was chosen Marion Rose Queen at the Rose Prom held last Thursday.

Gordon Adriaansen is doing well at home following a hospital stay.

August 29 - you will be on your way to the Catskills, for a luncheon theater. The play is the well known On Golden Pond. September 10 - have a pleasant ride to Rochester to the Crescent Beach Hotel for a memorable musical journey through the fall season. Dinner is included and features several choices.

October 29-November 1: Travel to Stowe, Vermont to the famous Trapp Family Lodge. See them making cheese, an outdoor mall, Teddy Bear Factory and have afternoon tea and cookies at the Lodge. Second day tour Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory; Green Mt. Chocolates, a Cider Mill and enjoy harp music with dinner a the Lodge. Special luncheon on the way home.

John Erick Dahlberg, grandson of Howard and Svea Dahlberg, graduated on May 26 from RIT, with high honors. He earned bachelor of science degree in information technology.

The Marion Senior Citizens will meet again at the Marion Fire Hall on June 12 at noon. Everyone is invited - bring a dish to pass, your place setting, come and reminisce with neighbors, have a delicious meal and play cards or dominos, have a sing-a-long.

On June 26 Sgt. Tony Virts will be our guest speaker and hopefully he will bring along his dog. Seniors 55 and older are welcome.
