Blood drive in Marion

A blood drive is planned for June 19 at the Marion American Legion Post 4141 on Witherden Road. The Post is the sponsor of the 2-7 p.m. drive.

Members of the American Legion Post ask all eligible donors in the community to plan to donate blood on that Tuesday.

As we approach the summer months, we also find ourselves in the toughest season to collect blood. Drives in communities across Wayne County are necessary and give more opportunity to Give the Gift of Life.

Community blood drives are vital to keep up with the demand for blood.

Any healthy person who is at least 17 years old and weighs at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate blood.
