Pet First Aid class in Newark

The Wayne County Chapter American Red Cross is offering a Pet First Aid Course on Tuesday, June 12 from 9 to noon and another on Tuesday, June 26 from 6-9 p.m. at the Red Cross office on East Union St., Newark.

Pet First Aid for Cats and Dogs is a nationally recognized course, for which participants receive lifetime certification. The three-hour course includes: how to recognize an emergency; Standard First Aid techniques for your pet; and hands-on CPR practice for cats and small to large breads of dogs.

The course costs $25 and includes a companion book entitled Pet First Cats and Dogs.
