Newarkfest weekend a success
The weather was glorious this past weekend - a great boon for the organizers of Newarkfest and St. Michael's Parish Festival.
There was fun for all in downtown Newark, and some community-minded efforts as well, as shown here with the Newark Kiwanis Club Peanut Sale to aid in service to youth; and with the distribution of free gunlocks.
Also in town for the weekend were those gathered for the American Legion Convention, which was expected to draw between 300 and 350 men and women.
There were parades, crafts, music, food, art, rides - indeed something for everyone.
If you missed it, mark your calendars for next June.
