Imani Festival in Newark

The Imani Festival will be held Saturday, June 16, from 9 to 3 at the Alex Eligh Community Center, 303 East Avenue, Newark.

This year's festival features Maxine E. Thompson of Inglewood, California. Ms. Thompson will present a self-publishing workshop and read from her novels and poetry. Thompson will be available for a book signing.

Other activities include:

Don Sago Youth Dancers, New Millennium Youth Choir and The Youth Inspiration Choir.

Admission: $10 per family, $5 individual, $3 students & seniors.
