Clean-up Day set for Perkins Park

Sparked by a declaration by Newark Mayor Peter Blandino, members of the committees to spruce up Newark's Perkins Park have set aside Saturday morning June 30 as Pride In Your Parks Day.

The Perkins Park beautification sub-committee, led by Carol Nary and Judy Harrington, encourages community members to gather at the park at 8 a.m. with bags, rakes, sandpaper, gloves etc. to get the job done.

Blandino declared the day to be clean-up day and pledged support of village forces to community members get the job done.
